In what turned out to be a defensive battle from the N.A.D.S. and the Angry Pirates, Leif Wespestad turned out to be the great defensive player. Leif's spectacular defense was highlighted by a double play that stopped a scoring threat from the N.A.D.S.

POTW: Azar Koulibaly
Indy #1
Azar, who is 2 legit 2 Kick's team captain, was an all around ALL STAR this week. Pitching can be a little difficult on the grass, but that was no problem for Azar who pitched a great straight, slow, and low game. And it didn't stop there, he also managed to reach base on a couple basehits helping his team beat out the tough Zombies. And lastly, Azar was an outstanding positive motivator for his teammates. His upbeat and encouraging attitude, kept the game light and fun for everyone. Keep up the good work, Azar.
Angry Pirates, Rubber Ballz n Liquor, Six-Pack Away, The Zombies
POTW: Jesse Rinehart
N.A.D.S.
In pregame warm-ups, Jesse was unexpectantly slapped in the face by an out of control kickball. This is not why he is player of the week. He's player of the week because of how he took his revenge. Even though, the NADS didn't beat Victorious Secret, they managed to come back from 5 down to come within one thanks to the mad SKILLZ from the catching position by Jesse. You'd think he was cheating, but the man can run like a cheetah. He probably threw out 4 players. Thanks for showing us how to PROPERLY take revenge, Jesse.
This week's player of the week goes to Kellie Daviscourt of GAR! The River Pirates! Even though they lost to a great team, Six-Pack Away, Kellie played a heck of a game in Left Field. Pop up after pop up was no problem for Kellie. She was given the nickname the "Terminator" by a player from Six-Pack Away. Mainly b/c she continued to wear sunglasses even though there was no sun, which made her look quite intimidating. And the other reason, was b/c she destoryed any hope of a batter getting on base if they hit it her way. NICE WORK out there, Kellie.
The player of the week goes to the Rubber Ballz n Liquor's very own Nic Jones. Nic managed to fight through the pain of a hurt knee to pitch a great game for his team. Even though Rubber Ballz n Liquor lost to the Angry Pirates, Nic had some sweet throw outs from the rubber. Nic is a great example of fighting off an injury to be there for his brothers and sisters of Rubber Ballz n Liquor. Great Job Nic!

POTW: Lorn Davies
Rubber Ballz n Liquor
Player of the day is awarded to Lorn Davies from team Rubber Ballz n Liquor. In the second inning, team N.A.D.S. was threatening with runners in scoring position. Mr. Davies made a phenomenal play catching a fly ball that ricocheted off his teammate Eli to kill the rally. A similar play late in the game was also a rally killer as the ball bounced off the chest of Desiree Moore straight to her boyfriend Nic Jonas, who was able to convert the double play. It was Lorn's overall presence in the outfield however and being perfect at the plate that gives him the nod for this week's player of the day. Congrats Mr. Davies and to team Rubber Ballz n Liquor for a great game played!
David Hasler of the Zombies is this week's player of the game. He earned this title because he batted in 4 of his team's 5 runs. One of his hits was a colossal shot to deep Right Center with the bases loaded. It was nearly a home run...a foot short, but he did get a triple out of it. David belongs on a Kickball All Star team traveling the globe putting on RBI clinics. Great job David...keep it up!

POTW: Mikao Brown
GAR! The river pirates!
Mikao Brown of the GAR! River Pirates is this week's Queen of Kickball. No doubt, it was an interesting outing for both teams the N.A.D.S and Gar! the River Pirates. Despite making it through only 4 innings b/c of mother nature and her tears, both teams made the best of it. But one stands out amongst the rest and b/c of her outstanding double play, Mikao wears the crown this week. Great job Mikao and keep sharing those SMILES!
2 Legit 2 Kick - Indy #1, GAR! The river pirates!, N.A.D.S., Rubber Ballz n Liquor
POTW: Cori Erickson
Six-Pack Away
Cori had THE best offensive self-sacrifice at second. She sprinted to second base as soon as her teammate booted it to left field, and then pulled off a pretty sweet barrel roll over it. Some would say this was an accident, but it can't be any coincidence that she was a huge distraction to defense and allowed her teammate to run all the way home. Cori is the ultimate team player!
2 Legit 2 Kick - Indy #1, GAR! The river pirates!, N.A.D.S., Victorious Secret
POTW: -Katie Swanlund
The Zombies
There must have been some angels in the outfield on this lovely day in Seattle. Katie was flying through the field, with grace and form, her excitement was only matched by her sheer wit and skill.
These balls were flying at her and without fear or anxiety she snatched them right up!! Not a lot of ladies (or gentlemen) can say that. Well done zombies on your perfectly placed team member.
7th Place Game:
GAR! The river pirates! vs. The Zombies
POTW: otter schultz
Rubber Ballz n Liquor
This week's player of the week goes to Andrew "otter" Schultz of Rubber Ballz n Liquor. Hats off to this gentleman along w/his teammates who fought through 10 innings of Kickball on Thursday night. The score was tied at 4 for 5 innings when the N.A.D.S went up 6 to 4 in the 10th. Otter made it a thriller w/his kicking and speed on the bases. He made it to 3rd on a close play and was ready to score but b/c of the tough playing defense of the N.A.D.S, the offense couldn't get him in. Overall, GREAT GAME and exciting play by both teams and awesome job Otter!
"Kick Heard 'round Seattle" - The playoff game was still up for grabs late in the game when Six-Pack away was in the field with one out and runners on the bases. The pitched rolled in and was crushed into the sky heading to left field. Everyone assumed the catch would be made and the runner would score from third, but Aaron had different ideas. The catch was made and the runner on third tagged and started for home. What happened next could only be believed if it was seen because Aaron, knowing he couldn't throw the runner out, decided to rare back and kick it in from the outfield. The ball was struck as if by Fredy Montero and started tracking towards home plate. A hush went over the field as the ball started coming down from it's peak, amazingly toward the runner. And just before the runner reached the plate, the ball came down and an eruption went through the field as contact was made between the runner and ball for an unassisted double play! Incredible. Aaron Gooze, we tip our hat to you.
Jackie is definitely the player of the week for her awesome effort in every play of the game. While things did not always work out in her favor Jackie was a great sport and kept on truckin. While on the pitchers mound she left the kickers always on their toes and as a kicker she put her best foot forward.
