Fall Co-ed Kickball at Lower Woodlands Thursdays

This weeks player of the week goes to Scott Barber for his grand-slam in the bottom of the 7th to win. With 2 outs and the bases loaded, also with one strike, Scott kicked a deep shot into right field that cleared the bases and made him the winning run! Great job Scott!

The sun was shining, the birds were chirping and Turd Ferguson decided today was the day to end there losing streak. Turd Ferguson jumped out to an early lead, but let it slip away late in the game. You could see there hope was starting to fade being down two with two people on and two outs in seventh. This was when Brian "Clutch" Spencer stepped into the kicker's box. On his first kicking attempt he sent the ball past the third base just going barely foul (could have been a missed call by the ump). With one strike remaining Brian tries again kicking the ball harder down the third baseline, this time it land on the third baseline fair. Two runners score to tie the game which is how it ends. Great job Brian and the rest of the team, you are on your way to getting into the win column.

Mike Burghart is clutch. Period. Proving his worth and securing a spot in the championship, Mike came up big with a game winning hit in the bottom of the 9th inning. A terrific ending to a terrific game by both teams!
