Tyler Beason Comes Through
The Giants are back for their ninth year and they are looking like the team to beat in the Saturday league. Led by Tyler Beason who batted 4 for 4 with a triple and two doubles they played a very skillful game and kept their cool when their backs were against the wall. They managed to hold power house GIEP scoreless for five innings and only relented when GIEP made a very hard push to score some runs. Their pitching is stellar, their defense is as tight as a drum and their hitting can ruin your day. Good to see the Giants back in action and congratulations on yet another opening day victory.

Sabey Sluggers
In Game 1 of Sabey Sluggers double header, Kenji pitched a perfect game. No runner reached first base! Ok, I was a forfeit win for the Sluggers. And although Game 2 was not a perfect game, Kenji delivered a solid performance walking no one and providing some great D and even a several RBI to lead his team to victory over their opponents who hung around until a late inning rally by the Sluggers. Way to go Sluggers and way to stay in your circle Kenji!

Chuck Noyes' ERA Continues to Plummet
Quotewizard behind Chuck Noye is primed for a playoff run and they are looking stronger each game. They ripped off 22 runs on Saturday and looked very good in the process. Led by Chuck's HR an his magic from the mound, this team looks to compete come playoff time and get their slice of the pie. Great game Chuck and great win Quotewizard.

Indy gets their first win!
The Indy team notched their first win of the season on Sunday, defeating QuoteWizard 12-9. Early on it looked to be another long day for Indy, giving up the maximum 9 runs in the first inning. But as the game wore on things came together for the underdogs as they chipped away a little at a time, while holding their opponents scoreless for the rest of the game. They finally took the lead for good in the 6th inning and never looked back.

Team Poised To Make Deep Run
The Giants are rolling into the playoffs soon and they are looking to capture another league title. It may not be as easy as one would think with all of the talented teams in the league, but they are seasoned veterans and they know what it takes to seal the deal and win a championship. Led by great pitching, aggressive base running and hot bats, they are certainly looking like a tough opponent for any team. Congratulations for yet another great season Giants and we will see you next week when the playoffs start.

Good in Every Position
Cate Chase had a pretty good day at Bobby Morris. In the heat of a playoff semifinal, she was able to stand up under pressure and deliver a base hit down the right side to cap off a huge Good in Every Position comeback win and vault them into the finals. She has already taken player of that game for the feat, but this special situation and circumstance deserves even more than that. For your game winning hit Cate, you're player of the week!
