Tom Fleming
Tom Fleming
Stampeding Manatees
Bottom of the last inning, team down by a run with multiple runners on base. The situation most can only dream of. Tom F stepped up to the plate in this very situation on Monday night, and you can guess what happened. Tom drove a pitch to the wall in center field, scoring both runs and completing a 4-run comeback in the bottom of the last inning to give his Stampeding Manatees a hard fought victory over the Serious Mountain Goats, 16-15. Congrats Tom and Team!

Robert Scott
Robert Scott
Good Burger SC
Robert "Baseball Pants" Scott earns this week's Player of the Week award for contributing 2 HR's to his teams's cause. He lead off the game, (perhaps selfishly?) crushing the first pitch he saw deep into the trees and racing around the bases. He was up again in the final inning, down only 15 runs, and crushed another shot to center. This one didn't quite clear the fence, but he raced around anyway and narrowly avoided a tag for the third out. It's not always about winning and losing, as long as everyone is having fun out there! Robert made sure everyone did.

Patrick the Slip King
Patrick the Slip King
Puget Sound sLoggers
While the entire team contributed to the win, Patrick 'the Slip King' contributed something much more valuable -- comic relief. Patrick lost his footing in shallow left-center field right before he was about to catch the ball. Sacrificing his body, and dignity Patrick managed to catch the ball by going 'cleats up' and landing gracefully on his back.

Liz A Complete No Show
Although Liz disappeared and didn't show up for the game on Monday night, St. Johns rolled despite. Their pitching is stellar, their defense is second to none and when they get going at the plate, game over. Last night they battled with ICP who put up a great fight until about the 5th inning. After that St. John's defense started to lock things down and runs became scarce for ICP. This team is always in the mix for a league title and I don't expect anything less this go around. Great game St. John's.

Team Solidarity Proves Key
The Immoral Hazards are just a scrappy ole bunch of players who enjoy playing softball. Their energy, their enthusiasm and their determination are second to none. That was quite evident on Wednesday night as they ripped off 29 runs in six innings and made it look rather easy. Their defense is stellar, their bats can get hot on a moments notice and their pitching is Cy Young worthy. This team is definitely looking to mix it up with the big dogs and they like their chances a whole lot. Great game guys and gals and great win.

Immoral Hazards
Todd Penke earns Player of the Week, by hitting three over the fence Home runs in the Immortal Hazard's victory Tuesday night. During Todd's final at bat the opposing team's pitcher avoided throwing any good strikes. Despite this effort Todd managed to hit his third Home run longer than any of his previous ones.

Ben Novak
Ben Novak
The Serious Mountain Goats
"Serious" Ben N earns this week's Player of the Week performance for his relentless baserunning, his clutch hitting and his stellar defense. All game long he was diving, making plays and great throws from short stop. With his team down by 5 in the bottom of the 6th, Ben lead off the inning by lacing a line drive to center, then racing around the bases to score. He came up later in the inning with a chance to put his team ahead, and did just that with a 2 run single in what would lead to a 1-run victory.

Erin Leitzinger
Erin Leitzinger
St Johns
A powerhouse offense is what led to St. Johns winning the championship on Wednesday. Racking up over 40 runs in their two playoff games, their offense could not be stopped. Keying their bats was Erin. Time and time again, she came up with ducks on the pond. Virtually every time, she delivered a clutch hit, driving home the base runners. Without her huge bat, St. Johns may not of been able to walk away with the title.
