Custer paces win with arm and legs
Jason Custer played like the "anti-Romo", throwing 5 TD passes and scoring on a long TD run just before halftime, leading No Romo to a win over Mr Hands.
The game was tight for most of the first half, but Custer made an outstanding play with less than a minute left in the half. After not being able to find an open receiver, he scambled his way away from an on rushing defender and then somehow managed to avoid getting his flags pulled for the length of field and a unlikely touchdown run. Jason also threw a number of beautiful long balls for touchdowns. Great work, Jason!

Mckee Is A One Man Show
Mckee Is A One Man Show
Leads Freeballers to a doubleheader sweep
Travis Mckee was a one man wrecking crew on Sunday night, intercepting 6 passes and scoring 2 TD's, leading the Freeballers to a win in the first game of their doubleheader.
Travis made things look easy in the first game, intercepting a long pass and running it back for a touchdown. He added 5 more interceptions in the game, a couple at very crucial times.. Mckee also made a spectacular touchdown catch, when seemingly covered, he managed to tip the ball to himself and keep his feet in the back of the end zone.
In the 2nd game he wasn't quite as dominating, but still managed to score a touchdown and had a pick.
Great night, Travis!

Effecient Air and Ground Attack!
This weeks player of the week goes to Rob Williams. Scoring was not the issue with Rob, it was more the question how he wanted to do it. With a fierce air assault, Rob passed for 4 touchdowns but balanced the air raid with a ground game. Rob also had 3 rushing TD's creating fits for the opposition. Great game Rob,!

Beef Nachos holds off the ConVicks
Steve Clough made a terrific catch in the end zone, capping a big win for Beef Nachos. Steve was able to get himself open in the end zone and then made a diving catch to secure the win over the ConVicks, 38-33. Steve also distinguished himself on defense with a number of flag pulls in key situations. The ConVicks wouldn't go away and rallied late to get it close, but couldn't get over the hump thanks to Clough's stellar night. Great work, Steve! Keep it going when the playoffs start in a couple of weeks.

Dix does it on both offense and defense
Jeff "tiny dancer" Dix made a number of key catches, including a long touchdown pass leading Mr Hands to a regular season ending win over the Freeballers, Dix also had a number of important flag pulls on defense, leading Mr Hands to there best defensive perfomance of the year against the high powered Freeballers.
It was an excellent performance on both sides of the ball, something that Mr Hands will need to build on going into the playoffs. Great work, Jeff!

Corn's 4 TD catches lead to to 2nd half rally
Matt Corn showed up late, but ended up being the difference, as the MudDog survived a scare in the first round of the Jaunita playoffs. Once Matt was able to get loose, he hauled in 4 TD passes and also had 3 two point conversions, breaking open a game that Mr Hands kept close for most of the night. Corn also played solid on the defensive side of the ball, recording a number of key flag pulls and knocked down passes. If the MudDogs want to keep their undefeated record alive and win the tournament, they'll need Corn to continue his strong play. Great work, Matt.
