Rip-It Snags Top Honors
Smart Plays Down The Stretch Key Championship Win

It's never easy winning championships, just ask Cody Nelson and Rip-It. Their storied legacy shows multiple victories at the league's highest level, yet rarely do you see blow-outs in these games. The midcore championship for Thursday Night Lights at Seattle Center this spring proved to be no different.
Rip-It started off a bit roughly, digging a hole 6-0 and then 12-6 early in the first half; However, after tying the game midway through, they capitalized on their opponents mistake to take the lead into halfway. Sign Up Digital showed its competitiveness, staying withing one possession for almost the entire duration of the game and never giving up.
On the final possession of the game, Rip-It sealed the game with a first down pass near the goal line to run the clock to zeros. Using their knowledge of the rulebook, they ran Sign Up Digital out of timeouts by kneeling the ball and crossing the goal line for a game-sealing touchdown at the end of regulation. The clock managing skill and great plays on both sides of the ball for 40 minutes culminated in a close one-possession season finale win. Great season to both teams!
