Late Spring Co-ed Softball on Capitol Hill Mondays/Wednesdays

Jamie had an amazing outing with Hit 'EM, playing a critical role in the comeback walkoff win over I'd Hit that. Her contribution was in the form of offense: 2 big time home runs that left outfielders sprinting after the ball into the Capitol Hill night. Her splendid hitting was responsible for at least 4 of her teams runs, and those runs would prove critical when it came down to crunch time in the last inning. A great effort setting her team up for the win, and well worth player of the week.

Kaylin had a great game on Wednesday, demonstrating her skill on both offense and defense. At the plate, she roped a triple and made solid contact multiple times. Her highlight in the field came on the last play of the game. The ball came to her in the outfield and the runner got a little greedy and tried to stretch out the hit. Kaylin threw a laser and gunned him out to end the game, earning player of the week!

Joel is player of the week this week for turning in a great performance Tuesday night. He really went above and beyond with powerful hitting and exceptional hustle throughout the game. On defense he shined when he was called upon and didn't put a foot wrong for the entire contest.

Darci earns player of the week this week for her great walk-off hit in the dying moments of the Darci and Friend's game against the Sharknadoes. With the game tied at 5 and after a few walks to bring Darci to the plate, she delivered with a hit past the pulled-in infield to produce the winning run and send her team into celebrations! An amazingly clutch performance by the player of the week.
