The All Star Super Stars came up big when it mattered most. They may have come into the championship game as the lower seed but they played well from the get go and never saw themselves as the underdogs. In the early innings, their offense was still feeling out the opposing pitcher and defense but they were able to make good plays behind their pitcher and were able to keep the score low until their bats woke up. Once the bats came around, they came around with a vengeance. They were able to take a close game and score 11 in the top of the seventh to really push the game out of reach. Through the whole season they played great defense and hit when they needed to and were able use that formula to make it all the way to the top. It really was a great season.
Megan had a great day both on the field and off it today. Offensively she led the way with three hits and 2 runs. Off the field she came up huge as the emotional leader and captain of All Star Superstars and really led them on and off the field.
Emily rocked it at the plate by going 3-4 with a triple and sparking two big rallies to turn the corner in the lineup.
Justin crushed the ball going 4-5 and hamming two home runs. He also brought out the biggest fan section at the field!
Megan had a heck of a game in left field snagging everything that came her way including a great sliding backhand catch on the line. She also went 2-4 at the plate.
Justin was an all around beast tonight. As the lead off hitter he went 4-4 and absolutely crushed the ball tonight. He also played outstanding in the outfield making a sweet sliding catch with two outs.
