The All-Star Super Stars were in an unfamiliar place after the first inning of the midcore title. Balls and Dolls had scored a quick 5 runs, and A.S.S.S. had replied with only one of their own. Something had to happen quickly and it did: They took second inning was taken 8 runs to 0 and suddenly regained their mojo. Player of the Week Jason Pitman found his bat and blasted the ball, and his teammates got in on the action as the Supers hit 3 home runs into the right field trees. Balls and Dolls began to struggle and fell behind, never equaling their first inning total. The Super Stars continued to romp, however, and won going away 23-13. The game was a great team effort and a fitting reward for the Stars' dominating play this season. Look out for them as Underdog transitions to summer ball.
Jason Pitman earns player of the week this week for his dominating offensive performance in the championship game against Balls and Dolls. Pitman was a hitting machine, and hit 4-5 out of the cleanup spot, with 2 very high and very deep home runs into the Capitol Hill evening. Those home runs were a big part of the All-Star Super Stars winning the game and securing the midcore championship
Party Pat put in work at the plate and on the mound in the All Star Super Stars doubleheader as they picked up two wins. Pat went 4-4 with 3 HRs in the first game and 3-4 in the second.
Gabby had a great game tonight. She hit leadoff and really set the table everytime she came up. She was a perfect 4-4 at the plate and added a run scored everytime as well. Gabby also added 3 RBI on the night and was a huge reason All Star Super stars were able to win tonight.
Emily showed off her ability as a true 5 tool Underdog softball athlete. She hit a smooth 4-5 from the plate, played in the outfield and infield, cruised around the base path, and even pitched an innning!
