Early Spring Co-ed Softball on Capitol Hill Mondays/Wednesdays

Two teams who worked very hard to get the championship game, ranking 1st and 2nd respectively faced off for the title. As the game started so did the weather, as by the second inning the rain was coming down and would not stop until the game's conclusion. Pitchclock was set down 1-2-3 to start the game, and Super Stars answered with 4 runs in the bottom of the inning, to grab the early lead. As that weather started up though, so did the bats for Pitchclock as they scored 7 in the top of the second to grab the lead. Short it was though as All Stars rallied quick and scored 7 of their own without much resistance. By the 4th inning the game was within 1 run but that quickly became 8 by the end of the 5th. As time was running short, the 6th inning was deemed to be the last inning of play. Pitchclock was able to muster up 3 runs but was not able to sustain the rally to make up the other 5 runs to push the game into the bottom of the 6th; and with one final fly out to center the game was over. The game was clean and well played with highlight reel full extension dives and monster homers from both sides, an overall satisfying conclusion to the season.
