Fall Co-ed Flag Football at Seattle Center Sundays

In an upset victory for No Ducks, Kim Jones scored a key touchdown that was the difference in a 20-16 victory.

On a beautiful fall day in sunny Seattle, the fourth week of the Fall 2005 Co-ed Sundays Seattle Center flag football league witnessed some tough match-ups and stunning individual performances. However, no single performance was quite up to the standard that Marianne Gardner of Melba Toast set for the week. In her game against team Flying Habaneros, Marianne set herself apart from the other quarterbacks in the league by leading her team to a 26-6 victory. With Payton Manning like accuracy she threw four TD and two extra points as the sole quarterback for the Toast. As if this wasn't impressive enough, she spread the ball around to her teammates by passing the ball to each one at least once. To cap of this great performance, by throwing only six incomplete passes, Marianne skipped out on celebrating at the bar with her teammates and retired straight to the film room with coach Gardner to scout next weeks opponent. Great job Marianne.

At the finale of the regular season, Paul Mennillo had his best performance of the season. Making a strong bid for the most valuable player honors, Paul led Morning Wood to yet another top seated playoff berth in a USL Co-ed flag football league. Beating Lets Get Sauced 39-18, Paul had 4 passing TD, 1 rushing TD and 3 interceptions, one of which was returned for a TD. That's right he was responsible for 6 TD. Great job Paul and good luck in the playoffs.

Tracy Stein took control of the final game of the Fall 2005 Co-ed Sunday Seattle Center USL league against All the Way. Tracy was unstoppable on offensive, was always open when she stepped on the field, never dropped a ball and always gain substantial yards after the catch. As if that wasn't enough contribution, Tracy was a force to be reckoned with on defense for M. Wood. Great job Tracy, you will look great in the Champ shirt.
