Ball So Hard
Jessica made a fashionably-late arrival but her impact was felt immediately. Never wavering to keep a smile on her face, Jessica picked up on some kickball strategy quick. In the first game she place-kicked with perfection, kicking in the eventual game-winning run late in the match. Though the score kept the second game out of reach, she never backed off on being aggressive on the basepaths, and still... no loss of a big smile on her face.
Thanks for keeping it fun Jessica!

Stacy Schuck
Ki***s in Paris
In a back and forth game, Stacy's pitching and defence proved to be the difference in her team's efforts to be victorious! In the bottom of 7th clinging to a 1 run lead, there was 1 out with a runner on 3rd base. As the kicker pootched a bunt in the air half way between home and the pitching rubber, Stacy made a mad dash toward the ball to make a finger tip catch and as the runner was running desparately back to 3rd base as not to get caught not tagging up, Stacy calmly threw the ball at the runner to hit him on the arm and record the game ending double play!

Kristina Yamashita
Kristina Yamashita
Just for Kicks
Kristina is an all around good and competitive athlete. You can tell she loves to play sports and it showed in her match this week. While playing on an injured ankle that caused her to limp when she walked, she played 2nd base like nobody's business. Her ability to snag line drives out of the air along with her situation awareness and alway ready at the bad to record the out on the lead runner was nothing short of amazing. Maybe even more amazing was her ability to beat out bunt after bunt even on her previously mentioned bum ankle. While after reaching base, her team mates were clammoring for her to use a pinch runner, Kristina was determined to stay on the base paths. What an effort... Much appreciated, Kristina!!!

Lindsay Mitchell
Lindsay Mitchell
The Alabaster Kids
Lindsay is the definition of great competitor and sportsmanship all wrapped up in one. While obviously frustrated with the umpire at times during the course of the two games her team played in, she never let that get in the way of her performance nor did she ever go over the edge of showcasing her disagreement with some questionable calls. Instead, Lindsay calmly went about her business all night long and in fact provided the game winning run in an extra inning showdown against her team's first rival of the inning. Lindsay followed that up with a dominating performance in the second game as she pitched a gem of a ball game while also providing her self with some run support at the plate. She remained classy in her demeanor toward her opponents and even shook hands with the umpire congratulating him on a night well officiated. Great job Lindsay and keep up the great spirit you always display!

Blake Harris
2 Legit 2 Kick
Blake calmly went about his business on this day. Not only was he clutch in the last inning but he was a model of consistency throughout the whole evening as evident by his 3 for 3 performance and stellar play in the outfield. What pushes Blake to player of the week status was his last plate appearance in the top of the 7th inning with two runners on and the game tied, Blake belted a double that drove in two runs which proved to be the game winning hit. While his team was able to add insurance runs during the inning, it was Blakes efforts to get the runs scoring started that won the game.

Kanye would be proud...
Great Pitching in a pitchers duel...
Pitching both games of a double header was no sweat for Stacy as she held her opponents to one run in a tense 2-1 victory on a dusty Thursday night. Mixing in banter with a tricky curve, Stacy kept her Kickers in the game until they finally took the lead with a run in the bottom of the 6th before shutting them down in the top of the 7th for the Win. Nice pitching Stacy ...

In a back and forth game and darkness closing in Karynne was able to reach third base with one out in the bottom of the 7th inning tied at 4. The ball was kicked to shallow left field and Karynne was able to tag up and hustle home with the winning run. Great job Karynne!

Darrick Leong
2 Legit 2 Kick
The final day of the regular season provided for some exciting games and exciting plays. None more than the first game of the night. Heading into the bottom of the 7th with a tie score, Darrick and 2 Legit needed base runners. Knowing that, Darrick put a charge into one and found himself in scoring position with a lead off double. A couple of kickers later, Darrick turned on the jets and flew home to beat the throw and score the game winning run. Great job Darrick!

Caitlyn Wicks
2 Legit 2 Kick
Though her team suffered a heartbreaking defeat in the semi finals, Caitlyn was a base hitting machine all night long. Caitlyn while playing solid defense in both of her games played, she was even more impressinve at the plate as she reached base every time up to bat. If it wasn't for a questionable and very bold call by the umpire, she may have very well led her team to two victories on the night. But like the true sport that she is, she looked to other places for the night not going exactly her team's way.

Nathan Baccellieri
Nathan Baccellieri
Just for Kicks
Everyone knows defense wins championships and the backbone of the Just for Kicks defense was Nathan. While officially he was playing right field, it seemed Nathan was everywhere. He covered the same amount of ground as 2 fielders. Unbelievably he set the tone for the game by making the first 5 outs by himself. Anytime his team needed a big defensive catch, Nathan was there. For that he is our player of the week!
