Strangers
Mark G. made his present felt early in the season in a tight game between Strangers and Good Wood. This game was close all game with the biggest lead in the 3rd inning was 3 runs for the Strangers. With the bats slowing down for 3 scoreless innings it became a 1 run lead for the final 4 innings. Going into the bottom of the 7th Good Wood pulled ahead by 2 runs and the Strangers needed to respond and Mark did just that. With a runners in scoring position Mark entered the box cool and collected and waited for his pitch. Mark drove a deep ball into right-center and his team-mates were able to cross the plate with ease and Mark put his squad in the WIN column for their first game. Great game Mark!

This weeks player of the week shined on defense catching every hit in her direction. Diem was stellar in left-field covering lots of real-estate making great plays in a 10 to 8 victory. Diem was the key reason her squad got the win reeling in every catch. Diem eve made a great catch hurdling her own player to avoid a collision while making a web-gem. Great game Diem!

Strangers whole team get recognition for their outstanding performance with their win against the leagues toughest team. Strangers played ruthless all game not giving up runs in 3 innings during the game with their lock-down defense. Strangers played against a great defense and were able to sneak in 7 runs with great hits and solid base running. and were able to put up the winning run in the bottom of the 7th to break the tie ball game and get a walk-off victory! Great game strangers!

This weeks hailed player is Liz G. for her outstanding and text book defense. In a game that only rendered a total of 9 runs, it was all about defense. Both teams struggled to find holes in the field with both teams playing with lockdown defense. It was Liz G. who was able to help her team get the win with a game sealing double play. Great game to both teams and their defenses, but it is Liz G. who gets recognized for Player of the Week!

Winning Feels Good!
This weeks honors go to the squad of I'll Have Another for their excellent 21 to 16 victory. The whole team came up big with the bat with big innings of 8 runs in the 2nd, and 7 runs in the 4th. They also had the field on lockdown especially in the last where they gave up 0 runs to protect their 5 run lead going into the final inning of the game. With Erik on the mound everyone rallied behind him and came up with a glorious victory. Great game I'll Have Another, keep the winning going!

Dawn N. is this weeks player of the week with outstanding play on both defense and offense. Dawn was ridiculous at short-stop gloving everything then gunning folks down attempting to reach first. Feelings were hurt as well as the first baseman's hand who had to catch the rockets Dawn was launching. Dawn also played a key role in her teams 11 run 7th inning with a 3 run homerun giving her squad enough insurance runs to win 19 to 15. Great game Giants, and excellent game Dawn!
