Fall Co-ed Kickball at Lower Woodlands Wednesdays

Jason helped give his team a big lead with some fantastic kicks. Driving in 4 runs on a couple of hits, Jason was having a great day. After his team let the opponent tie the game in the top of the 7th, Jason would come up with a chance to save the day. With the bases loaded and 1 out, Jason crushed one deep to left driving in the winning run! Awesome game Jason!!

On a day where great kicking statistics was the order of the day, Jake's day at the plate stood out above the rest. While players from other teams were kicking grand slams and triples and three run doubles, Jake had a monster performance going 5 for 5, hitting for the cycle and adding a 2nd homerun to his stats for good measure. In a game that appeared to be a major blowout, wasn't really the case at the beginning of the game until Jake took matters into his own hands and broke the game wide open with his performance at the plate.

The best defensive play a team can turn is the elusive triple play. Tonight Jessica was the catalyst for Mt. Zion Yam to pull off the greatest play of the night. Playing second, Jessica caught a hot shot liner that everyone thought would be over her head. She then quickly stepped on second for out 2 and fired over to third base for the final out of the triple play. All anyone could say was WOW! Impressive play Jessica!

Mr. Clutch should be Sean's new nickname, because he was exactly that for the Ninjas. Whether it was his 3 run homer in the 4th, when his team was trailing by 2. Or his dramatic sliding catch at first to squash a rally in the 6th. Or most importantly, his game winning walkoff kick in the bottom of the seventh. Sean never let his team down in those tension filled moments. Great game Sean and congrats on the championship!
