Here for the Beer
In their second game of an opening day doubleheader, Here for the Beer was getting desperate for a win and inching closer to another loss. But all hope wasnt lost, they loaded the bases for Brian Hurley in the fourth inning and Brian came through. Hurley hit a classic Grand Slam over the left-center field fence and produced the runs that would eventually lift Here for the Beer to an 11-10 victory.

Team Xbox
During the second week of the Fall Lower Woodlands USL Softball League, Team Xbox, led by their pitcher Mark Brown won both games. Going into the bottom of the 6th inning in the second game Team Xbox was down by one run. With the bases loaded, Mark came to bat and helped his cause by hitting a bases clearing triple. Then in the top of the 7th, the defense held their opponent, Here for the Beer, to only two runs to secure the nine to 10 victory. Great job Mark.

Winning two POG awards in two games, Ryan Thurston proved his status and his salary as the marquee player in all the USL Fall Leagues. Hitting three out of the park home runs in two games, 15 RBIs, perfect batting average and some stealer plays in left field, Ryan looked as if he was a high school man playing in a Babe Ruth league. Perhaps USL should start testing for performance enhancing drugs, I guess that would take all the fun out of it.
