Spring Co-ed Kickball Downtown Tues/Thurs

With two teams on hand as fans, Hassan pulled out "the ole' Statue of Liberty catch", and received many applause from the onlookers. An opponent was quoted as saying, "I thought there was no way he'd get to that kick, then when he did, I thought for sure he was gonna drop it. But he showed some amazing talent...he's good."

Jen "Soxxy Llama" Pike used her catlike reflexes to avoid being thrown out at third base. Having run past the bag and with the defender only 5' away and poised to gun her down, Soxxy Llama did an improv jumping jack to avoid the would be kill shot.

Our co-POTW goes to Ogre. Ogre must've imagined he was kicking a hobbit head instead of a kickball because Ogre was unstoppable. He had a great on base percentage for the evening. Rumor has it Ogre may use a mace or club instead of kicking next week.

With the score tied 1-1 in the top of the 6th, Kim's agressive run from 2nd and slide home gave Monoball Bandits a 1 run lead.

Talk about pressure! All the key factors were in place: it was the bottom of 7th; there were 2 outs; the score was tied; and the two teams were arch rivals. The Bonneville Badgers's Stephanie Starr stepped up to the plate and kicked in the game-winning run.

Having mastered the bunt, Erin brought her "A" game, with three base knocks, and a couple putouts from behind the plate on D.
She set the tone for the Badgers.

The Bonneville Badgers are moving on in the playoffs , thanks in large part to Steven Bounds. Steven showed a big leg and some solid D in a close victory over the Entercommies.

Bryce dedicated this weeks performance with his Henna tattoo in memory of his far east friend (you guys know what I mean ;). He played hard, while at the same time having utmost integrity. He welcomed the banter from opponents and played the entire game with a smile. Congrats on player of the week!
