Ice Cream Socialists - Indy #1
Early on in their first game Tuesday night, it looked like the Ice Cream Socialists looked like they were dead and the Beer Batters were beating on a lifeless carcass. However, after trailing 13-3, the Socialists put together a comeback for the ages. Rallying for four, two, and five runs in their final three at-bats, and also playing some stellar defense, the Socialists erased a ten run deficit and won the game 14-13. The player who put the cap on this great comeback was Ryan Purdie. Ryan had the hit that drove in the game-tying and game-winning RBIs and also had two great putouts from the shortstop position in the top of the seventh in order to preserve the narrow one run lead.
