SHOCKERS
Looks like we'll be finishing up our time at Sunset Bowl the right way, with one of our most exciting leagues to date. This BTB league features no less than 3 former champs and two second place teams. Among thos former champs are the Shockers, ably led by the "Big O" Tod Torongo. Sure, the Shockers came out strong beating up on their competition on opening night, but who cares about all that? What really matters is how Tod beat up on his brother and teammate Alex. While Alex took the second game 186- 166, Tod's huge game one performance of 217 (to Alex's 189) put him ahead for the night. Nobody's tougher than your own blood, people.

Pin Stalkers
The bowling world can be cruel and unforgiving. One minute, you're the champs- top of the heap, the next- you're just another team fighting for a playoff spot. Well, Thursday night Thomas Schipper took it upon himself to remind everyone who the most recent champs are and why. Tom led his defending champ Pin Stalkers to an easy victory and led all bowlers with two consecutive capped games of 205, a rare event if we've ever seen one. To be the best, you gotta beat the best, people. Or pay someone to cut their brakelines. Did I type that or just think it?

Bowling Stones
Sometimes it's not all about flashy numbers. Mechell Smith had scores of 134 and 135 for her team the Bowling Stones. Decent games that made just the difference. The Stones edged former champs Reservoir Dogs in both games, winning by a COMBINED total of 4 pins! The win kept them undefeated and at the top of the leader board. Every little bit helps, folks. Role-players- ya gotta love em.

Minds in the Gutter
Numbers don't lie, folks. Mike Brunelle single-handedly saved his team Thursday night, throwing down monster games of 249 and 245. Even with the cap, it was just enough for a clean sweep of the previously undefeated, league- leading Bowling Stones. Mike could not be reached for comment after the game, as he had danced his way across 17 lanes and then clean out into the street, gone into the night forever.

Super Bowl
Coming out of nowhere, Superbowl has done snuck themselves into the last spot of the playoffs, heading into the final week. Never count a dark horse out, people. They may have flown under the radar, but they have a chance, thanks to decent performances like Elissa's (127,128). Get hot, people!

SHOCKERS
Tod led the way to a second Big Turkey Bowling championship with his winning attitude (his scores of 191 and 202 didn't hurt either). The Shockers played two solid games and were undeterred by the pressure and walked away with a slew of prizes from their hard work all season long.
