United and in uniform, Super Bowl appeared ready to face off against the Shockers who had maintained nearly a perfect regular season score. While the game was close, even Ron's capped 205 wasn't able to make up the deficit as the Shockers bowled strong as a team.
Meanwhile, a missing captain in game 1 lowered team morale for Reservoir Dogs leaving an opening for the #2 ranked Bowling Stones to swoop in and dominate.
Fianlly, entering the Championship match, both teams were pumped up from their game 1 wins as Bowling Stones and Shockers prepared to face off. Eric of the Bowling Stones was motivated by the possibility of finally claiming the ever so coveted "Player of the Week" title. But Alex and Tod were not ready to relinquish their title of Big Turkey Champs as they finished off the Stones 614-569.
Tod led the way to a second Big Turkey Bowling championship with his winning attitude (his scores of 191 and 202 didn't hurt either). The Shockers played two solid games and were undeterred by the pressure and walked away with a slew of prizes from their hard work all season long.
Looks like we'll be finishing up our time at Sunset Bowl the right way, with one of our most exciting leagues to date. This BTB league features no less than 3 former champs and two second place teams. Among thos former champs are the Shockers, ably led by the "Big O" Tod Torongo. Sure, the Shockers came out strong beating up on their competition on opening night, but who cares about all that? What really matters is how Tod beat up on his brother and teammate Alex. While Alex took the second game 186- 166, Tod's huge game one performance of 217 (to Alex's 189) put him ahead for the night. Nobody's tougher than your own blood, people.
