The Tribe had to fight hard through the playoffs this season, starting off as a 9 seed, but that did not deter them. After making it through a close semi-final game, the Tribe kicked it into high gear for the championship defeating the Freeballers 54-26. A combination of big plays and consistent defense, including 8 touchdown passes by Travis Scarborough, were evidence enough that the Tribe was not tired out from their previous match, and it proved to be too much for the Freeballers. This Sunday in the Gentleman's hardcore flag football league at Memorial Stadium there was a hard fought battle for the championship between the Channel 4 News Team and OJ's Pig Slingers. Matt Ehrenstrom of Channel 4 had a huge game on defense with constant pressure on the quarterback, gaining 5 sacks and also catching a touchdown. This was not a walk-over victory, however, as the Pig Slingers fought back with as much intensity as they could. It was not enough, however, as Channel 4 was able to stay sharp and gain the title. Congrats Channel 4!
