POTW: Shelley Bjornstad
POTW: Shelley Bjornstad
Indy #1
Turnout for the first night of "Sunset Wednesdays" was great. People were in great spirits ready to knock down pins. The player of the week goes to Shelley Bjornstad. She did not career in her first game but came roaring back improving her score by 66 pins, and helped her team obtain a point in the second game. Everyone showed great form, both on and off the lanes, and had a good time.... Which is the most important.

POTW: Robert Howard
POTW: Robert Howard
Lucky Strikes
Rob = Zeus of the alley. Perhaps he saved his energy for the game by using a rolling ball bag as opposed to one that needs to be carried. Whatever it was, he rolled in and capped out in both games with a 216 and a 246. Unfortunately, he's going to have to share his Zeus like powers with the rest of his team if they have any hope of making play-offs.

Theme Night - Mustache Night
POTW: Bryan Owens
POTW: Bryan Owens
Indy #1
Bryan has spirit yes he do! Bryan came this week ready to bowl AND rocking the mustache. Did I mention it was a natural mustache grown specifically for Mustache March theme night? Furthermore, he has a great attitude and is altogether pleasant. Lastly, Bryan is a fantastic bowler with a 169 in the first and a 193 in the second game leading his team to an overall match win, and not to mention, moving them into a tie for 3rd midway through the season. Sweet!

Trouser Muppets
It was only a matter of time, inevitable really, until the Trouser Muppets assumed the lead and readied themselves for the playoffs. It's quite possible that the sudden surge in play and urgency to become number 1 was lead by Carmel Federer. With a 149 in the first game and a 168 in the second, Carmel sent a message to all other the other teams that the Trouser Muppets are not here to just mess around. They are here to bowl...quite possibly in their underwear. Why? Because that's what Trouser Muppets do. High fives to the whole team.

POTW: Kimmy Shipley
POTW: Kimmy Shipley
No Dice!
Kim came ready to bowl this week. She started off her day with an early morning practice session using her free bowling coupons at Sunset. The extra practice coupled with her team yelling at her must have really helped because Kim bowled a personal record of a 178 in the second game with strikes in 5 of her 10 frames. Her new found skill led her team from behind to a 3-1 victory. Yes!

Bustin' Balls on Big Racks
While this may go against tradition (selecting a POTW not on the championship team) I think Bustin Balls on Big Racks should be recognized for their sudden influx of skill in the final night of the league. After a full season of riding in last place, Bustin Balls was able to move up 4 spots to finish 'er off. Captain John Cox, who contributed little in the way of points for the bulk of the season, managed to pull out a final "hurrah" and close out with a 194 in the second game, leading his team out of the lonely no point desert.
