Spring Co-ed Flag Football at Seattle Center Thursdays

In week 1 of the Thursday Night Lights league out at Seattle Center, there was one match-up that was sure to be a dandy. The Lucky Dogz and Ball Snatchers renewed acquaintances and squared off in a hotly contested 38-33 contest. The player that made the difference in the game was Virginia Kim, who had three touchdown recieptions from Paul Mennillo.

The team with the great name also has at least one great player. Jessie Johnson had quite a night as she threw two touchdown passes, 1 TD catch, and 1 sack. In their 52-18 victory, Jessie was the one who led the way and continues to be a great contributor to the Mathletes winning ways.

In what had to be the Game of the Year, That's What She Said came out on top of Kemp's Kids 38-34. It was a back and forth affair and it was sad to see Kemp's Kids come up short, however if there was a team deserving of such a thrilling victory it was That's What She Said. Leading the way in the win was Dan "Papa" Roundhill. Dan was worthy of Player of the Week honors because he was the one who caught the game winning touchdown in the game of the year.

With a last name like Reff, it's very hard for the Statdog not to recognize the greatness of Laura. But while the Statdog finds her name to be completely awesome, it's her game that made her Player of the Week. Laura had a long touchdown run on fourth down, to go with a touchdown pass and two catches on two-point conversion plays, in the best offensive performance by Buckley's this season. Buckley's appears to be firing on all cylinders heading into the final day of playoffs, next Thursday.
