The midcore championship game in Everett was one for the record books! The whole season boiled down to the #1 seeded Chopper....kickballs vs. the #2 seeded Discount no.5. It was a tie ball game going into the 4th inning at 2-2, but that's when Discount no.5 made their move and tacked on 3 runs on some huge kicks. But over the next 2 innings Chopper chipped away at that lead with some smartly placed kicks, aggressive baserunning and sacrafice flies. It was once again tied up at 6-6 going into the bottom of the 7th inning when Brandon Gardner stepped to the plate and promptly laced a hard kick into right field allowing his teammate to score from 3rd for the game winner!!! Congrats Chopper....kickballs on a hard fought & dramatic victory!
