These two MLT fixtures, BIG TAB & Short Bus, have faced each other for years. Its a storied matchup. But I doubt any were as good of a game, nor as important.
Short Bus had bested BT in the regular season, a feat on its own. But now the money was on the table and Champs shirts were simmering on the sideline.
Short Bus jumped out to an early lead in their semifinal against Pelotas and held on to a late rally.
BT had a tough time with a pesky Danceoff squad in their semifinal.
In the championship, BT led off the game with a couple runs. But Short Bus kept it close all game long with stiff defense and kept pecking away at the lead.
SB tied the match in the 6th, setting up a 6-6 score going into the 7th and final inning.
BT took advantage of being at the top of their kicking order, and promptly put up 2 runs. In the 7th, the SB catcher, would had made a couple costly mistakes earlier, tried to leg out a great extra-base kick into a triple, and got gunned down, effectively killing the rally and the championship hopes of Short Bus. After over a year without their dubious title, BIG TAB are MLT Champs once again.
