Violent Chubbies
Bringing back the mantra and memories of yester-year when the Mariner's slogan was "two outs-so what?" to signify their many rallies with two outs in an inning to score multiple runs, Chelsea clutch 2 out hit in the 6th inning ignited a rally one for the ages. With her team trailing by 6 runs in the late stages of the ball game, the 7 run rally proved pivotal in her team's quest for victory. At the center of this great come from behind win, was Chelsea's 2 out so what, base hit to start the rally. Her team then carried over the momentum as they also rolled to victory in the second game of a double header.

Balls to the Narwhal
There aren't too many times when a player from a losing team is awarded player of the week, but Ashley's performance was just too spectacular to ignore. Ashley was not only 4 for 4 from the plate, with one of her base hits being a clever full swinging line drive over the in-coming short stops head after successfully bunting for base hits her previous two times up to kick... But Ashley's gold glove performance at 1st base was surely a day to marvel. Quotes often coming from her team's catcher on the evening was out of pure amazement witnessing play after play being made. Ashley made several over the shoulder catches, while finding mis-played balls (By her team mates) and the first base bag simultaneously to end rallies. Ashley and her team mates found their team down by 11 runs and she almost ignited a full comeback shrinking the lead all the way down to two. Ashley did all of this while shaking off the relentless heckling and trash talk from her team's opponent. Way to battle, Ashley!!!

Matt Kreamer
Matt Kreamer
Violent Chubbies
Sometimes it's just like riding a bike. Kreamer as he is affectionately known, has been out for an entire year nursing an injury, but upon his return to the lineup this season, Kreamer hasn't missed a beat! And some may argue, that he is a better offensive force post injury than he was pre injury. He was 3 for 4 with multiple RBI's and actually reached base each plate appearance. What was just as impressive was his ability to play multiple positions in the field as he limped to his spot each time they were in the field. Just like riding a bike, once you've learned to do it, the abiltiy doesn't leave you!

manhandlers
Normally designated for this spot is player of the week but the all around performance of a group of players, notched Manhandlers team of the week. Particularly Jack and Pedro who each belted two home runs on a night that saw them both perfect at the dish. Not only were they spectacular when it was their turn at bat, but Manhandlers played great in the field as well. Thwarting any potential big rally by their opponent through making all the plays they one would expect a team to make while also throwing in the occasional amazing play. As kickers were looking for holes in their defense, there simply just weren't any to pick out. From making over the shoulder catches to fielding routine ground balls and fly balls, Manhandlers was simply a team to recon with.

Balls to the Narwhal
In one of the highest scoring games in ages, everything came down to the final at-bat. The kicker booted a solid single to right and Ashley hustled home all the way from second base for the game-winning run! More impressive was the fact that it was Ashley's fourth run of the night! Great game Ashley!
