The weather couldn't have been more cooperative for the closure of the Late Summer Softcore league, and the impressive level of competition on display matched the conditions. Their first game of the night against Uppers and Lowers was a very close game, but their Final match had even more firepower.
After 2 exciting sets, Notorious D.I.G. was playing very good volleyball and also having a great time out there. They had people watching, cheering for them and even a GoPro camera set on a pole recording all their action. With all that support Notorious D.I.G. took over No Diggity and won the championship! Congratulations to Quicksand for winning the Late Summer Midcore championship! After a very solid season, Quicksand headed to the finals with a lot of confidence, but they didn't expect to lose one of their team members last weekend due to an injury. They had to play against Google tonight with only 3 people, but that was not an excuse to give up.
It was a beautiful game with the score tied for most part of the match, but after almost 1 hour and 3 very long sets, Quicksand took over Google and became the champions! Congratulations to all Quicksand players for this awesome achievement! See you all next season!
