Late Summer Co-ed Beach Volleyball at Golden Gardens Thursdays

With this being the first week, having a strong start is key. With many distractions on the beach Matt and his team stayed motivated and focused on the game at hand. With diving plays and scrappy moves, Matt and the Friendship Bathers bonded and played the best they could for their first week as a team! Great work Matt and good luck this season!

This week Sets on the Beach was all about progress. While they may not be the most talented on the beach they do take the time to celebrate the little things! This week each team member hit the ball successfully and for that they celebrated with victory cookies! Who knows what they will be able to do and they are getting better every week and may be the truest of Underdogs! Never underestimate an Underdog! Great work this week!

This week defense was the name of the game. Greg was a key player in helping his team to victory averaging 30 digs a game! His dives across the court may have left him sandy but the plays were well worth it to keep the sandy cracks in a good place heading towards the end of the season and into playoffs. Offense wins games but defense wins championships and Greg and the sandy cracks have their eye on the prize!

Nema had an awesome day at Golden Gardens! She was very friendly and a good team player. She was very alert on the court and always willing to dive for a ball on or off of the court in order to get the point. By the end of the game, her saves improved to where she was jumping and diving every inch of the court. Nice job Nema! Keep up the awesome play and congratulations!
