Bada Bings, Goat Rodeo, Perpetual Motion Squad, SloRollers the OG's
POTW: Kelsey Johnson
Mooseknucklers
Kelsey played outstanding defense today at 2nd base. She grabbed every kickball kicked her way. She was adept at getting the force out. Man, can she run down the line on offense too. She has great team spirit and showed great sportsmanship! Thanks for giving me something to write about this week! Honorable mention was Chelsea Hendrickson who made a great play at third in the second game for We've Got 99 problems! She did the splits but managed to step on the base and hold the ball at the same time. It was so amazing I had to write about it. However, Kelsey was the brightest star out there tonight. Great job ladies. Let's see if the men can match your intensity next week!
Lafawnda, Mooseknucklers, We've got 99 problems and a Pitch Ain't One, Where My Pitches At?
POTW: Adam donavan
Goat Rodeo
This was Adam's first night of Underdog Kickball but you would never know from watching. He was placing all his kicks in the gaps and making tough plays at 1st base. In the 5th inning he made a great catch and immediately threw the ball at the runner who had left 1st base. This solo double play earned him player of the week!
Lafawnda, Perpetual Motion Squad, SloRollers the OG's, Where My Pitches At?
POTW: Tanner Townsend
Mooseknucklers
Tanner had an amazing game, which may have been helped by his amazing T-Rex hair style! The pho-hawk helped with his aerodynamic abilities in scoring many runs, becoming faster than the speed of sound... or at least the other team!! His 5th inning lead off HR blew everyone away and kept their lead alive.
Bada Bings, Goat Rodeo, Mooseknucklers, We've got 99 problems and a Pitch Ain't One
POTW: Martha Linhoss
SloRollers the OG's
After an attempt to catch a fly, and the ball bouncing off of her face, Martha fully redeemed herself later in the game. She made a run and had two great snatches out of mid air to make the outs!
Lafawnda, Mooseknucklers, SloRollers the OG's, We've got 99 problems and a Pitch Ain't One
POTW: Bob Uhl
Where My Pitches At?
Bob had a an amazing game, even with his face a little scratched up... unfortunate incident surrounding a paintball adventure. All game Bob was on it, strike after strike, foul tip after foul tip.He was on a roll. Then, a pop fly straight to him, he caught it for the out. then noticed the person on first left before tagging. Quick thinking on his part got him out number 2!!! Smooth playing by Bob!!
Bada Bings, Goat Rodeo, Perpetual Motion Squad, Where My Pitches At?
POTW: Jill Wicklund
We've got 99 problems and a Pitch Ain't One
Jill embodies the Underdog Spirit and Kickball spirit. While warmning up, Jill tweaked her quad, took some ice and played the full game as her team was needed her to get the game in. She kicked as best she could and even booted one left footed pretty well! She played backstop and got out to defend the bunts as best she could. She never complained about it and showed her teammates love all game long. Great job Jill, now ice that quad and get back out there and show us Kickballers what you can do at full strength!
There were some honorable mentions out there tonight... Mr. Carr (because I forgot his first name) had a big Grand Slam for the Slow Rollers (aka the OGs) and they are always fun to watch kick the ball. The Mooseknucklers team always gives me a great game to watch and its hard not to root for a great team like that! Lawawnda's Jenny Sorgenfrei had an excellent game getting three base knocks and a perfect slide into second (moved that dirt like a grave digger)! Everyone who played gave it their all but these few people stood out today. However, no one displayed more guts than Jill and helped her team with her will out there! Great job Ladies and Gentlemen! See you next week!
Bada Bings, Lafawnda, SloRollers the OG's, Where My Pitches At?
POTW: Steven Klasey
Mooseknucklers
Steve had a great game on Monday. Not only were his pitching skills spot on, getting strikes and fouls left and right, his defensive play kicked rubber! Steves quick reflexes came in handy on a line drive, he managed to catch the ball and then turn around and get a runner out when they left before tagging up. Great play Steve!!
Goat Rodeo, Mooseknucklers, Perpetual Motion Squad, We've got 99 problems and a Pitch Ain't One
POTW: Jason Truman
Bada Bings
The Bada Bings had a great day, win number 1 is finally under their belt!! It was a back and forth game, one team in the lead, then the other. Nail biting through it all!! Jason was on the ball, the red rubber one that is. Left field was his territory Wednesday. A pop fly goes up, higher and higher, Jason follows it from the ground, opens his arms to cradles. The ball hits with force, Jason rolls to the ground, feet over his head, a keeps a hold of it!! Amazing catch, garnered praise from the other team as well as his own. That wasn't the end of it. In the 7th a pop goes to Left field once again and Jason goes in for the kill. Hits with force once again, Jason rolls with it and keeps it off the ground!! Team Lafawnda runs out to high five Jason, it was a nice catch!! Well done!! The green shorts made all the difference.
Lafawnda, SloRollers the OG's, We've got 99 problems and a Pitch Ain't One, Where My Pitches At?
POTW: Susan Rinlaub
Mooseknucklers
Susan's bunting skills were superb today! Her bunts came to a dead stop just in front of the plate as she wheeled on to first base. Aside from the awesome bunts, she made a few spectacular catches in the outfield.
Bada Bings, Goat Rodeo, Mooseknucklers, Perpetual Motion Squad
POTW: John Vernon
We've got 99 problems and a Pitch Ain't One
John had a great game today. He had some great kicks that kept his team ahead of the Slo Rollers (you know... the OGs)! Everytime they needed a run, he seemed to be up and produced a KBI! He also had some great defense behind the dish. He threw a couple of people out at first (although he left early every time! Just kidding). He is clearly a team leader and inspiration to his team. Great Job John!
There were some honorable mentions today. Lauren 'Araz' Ayeres pitched a shutout which was really nice. Besides being a great pitcher, she's one helluva pitcher. Kelly Evans from 99 Problems gets an honorable mention for having great team spirit and inspiring her team to a win today! Congratulations everyone. It is always an honor to umpire such great teams who embody the Underdog Kickball Spirit!
Goat Rodeo, Lafawnda, Perpetual Motion Squad, SloRollers the OG's
POTW: Blair Metcalfe
Where My Pitches At?
Blair had an amazing game. She was on the ball the whole time, throwing people out, catching or stopping wild balls that might have turned into more than base runs. Her kicking was also spot on. Bunting with the best of them, Blair was on base just about everytime. Advancing runners to bring them home. Killer skillz exhibited by Blair!!
Bada Bings, Mooseknucklers, We've got 99 problems and a Pitch Ain't One, Where My Pitches At?
POTW: All The Goat Rodeo Ladies
Goat Rodeo
Yes, that's right, ALL the ladies. The female faction of Goat Rodeo really brought their "A" game this week.
It started with Steph catching a uber-high pop up that no one thought she had a chance at. The veteran defense continued for GR as the ladies made one amazing play after another.
Kristin Walters capped it off with a game-ending unassisted double play. Great game ladies!

POTW: Martha Linhoss
SloRollers the OG's
Martha brought her A-game to Monday nights playoffs game. No bunts from her, she booted the ball every time and found the holes in the defense as well. The SloRollers move onto the next playoff!! Great game Martha!!
Great defense deserves a shout out and Jill was playing second like a gold glove second basemen. She climbed the ladder for 2 great catches! She helped her team stop some rallies with those snags. Great Job Jill!
Aaron had an amazing playoff game. It was a tight one as the score was always within 2 points. This meant both sides defense need to step up and keep the scores down. Aaron did that for the SloRollers. His outfield catches kept the OG's in the lead to win the game. Great, great defense Aaron!!
Way to play great defense and score runs when it counts. Enjoy your shirts and wear them proudly...or give them to a friend because I think you guys already have at least one.
