Summer Softcore Kickball in Fremont T/Th

In a tense and high scoring game, the biggest kick came not on offense, but on defense. Violent Chubbies and Just For Kicks battled back and forth for quite a while ending up tied at 16 going into the last inning. The Chubbies tacked on 6 in the top of the 7th, which might have been enough to seal the deal in a normal game, but these two teams could put runs up like nobody's business. Just For Kicks fired off a few quick runs to start their bottom half, and got a few more on base when a female came up and laid down a decent bunt down the third base line. Catcher Rebecca Stackhouse had three options: play it safe and hope it goes foul, play it safer and pick the ball up but just hold it, or go for the gold and the win. Rebecca went for it, using her soccer skills to redirect the kick with her own foot over towards first, beating out the runner for the final out, and quashing Just For Kicks' comeback bid.

The game was tied 3 to 3 in the 5th inning. It was a slow, close game up to this point. The bases were loaded and chris Scheks was up to kick. He booted the ball past the right center fielder and rounded the bases. 4 runs scored on a grand slam to up Kenny Powers' Party Posse up 7 to 3. A game changing kick. Chris, you are player of the week!

Lindsay was a defensive star at shortstop with amazing catch after amazing catch as Just For Kicks rolled easily over a fatigued Dunder Mifflin team on Thursday night. Nice work Lindsay.

Meagan was lightning in a bottle! She was a great bunter and no one could get her out at first once she took off! She played a mean third base as well. She had a couple of force outs at the bag and made a sensational catch! She led her team to victory with great kicks, runs scored and nice plays at third! Great Job!

Steph was on her game Thursday night. The Chubbies were looking for a win. Steph brought her A-game and boot to play. 2 ducks on the pond, Steph is up to kick. Instead of a bunt she wails on it... it's a DOUBLE!!! 2 runs are scored and Steph is sitting pretty on 2nd. If that wasn't enough, her pop fly catches also ensured that her team came away the victors. 4 out catches!! An amazing game!!

In a game against Dunder Mifflin Kyle Stover kicked a huge bomb deep to right center. The bases were loaded and this four run grand slam put the Violent Chubbies up 5 to 1. Dunder Mifflin was not able to make a come back. Kyle Stover you are the Player of the week.
