Fall Co-ed Kickball at Lower Woodlands Sundays

Sarah merely had to show up to get her teams vote for POTW.
But alas, she proved her worth on the field. With multiple towering, game-impacting fly balls getting kicked her way, Sarah had the chance to be a hero or just another kickballer.
It was hero time. She came up huge with three big-kick catches in the clutch, to help her Cajones hold on for a 1-run win!

Matt had a great double header. He played a mean first base and contributed on offense. I almost forgot to mention, he had the best outfit I've seen on a man since the seventies! Rocking some pink hot pant shorts, he gave us all a show. He had a big fly and made some great stretches at first to secure outs for his team when it counted. Matt is a natural leader out there and an inspiration to his team. Great Job Matt!

There were some honorable mentions this week such as Matt's teammate, Jeff Layton, who played centerfield like Ken Griffey Jr this week. He also came up with an unbelievable slide to avoid a tag at home. Steve Walton had a great game by gobbling everything up at shortstop for his team and also had a great offensive day. Lastly, Madisen Wojciechowski had a great day in the outfield. She made an unbelievable catch moving toward the foul line and saved her team some runs. She also had some great bunts and such a great attitude she gets honorable mention. For those who I left out, step it up! just kidding. Great job everyone and congratulations to Matt!

Sandy showed her value Sunday just by showing up. Seriously, four teams forefeited. She went above and beyond providing that menacing presence on the bench, however, and sealed the deal on the field, putting away Panda kickers with lock-down defense. On one play, she even appeared to try to catch the ball with her teeth. That kind of tenacity makes Marshall Law a playoff favorite.
