This championship game had many many seasons of experience in the players that took the court and the respect was high for both teams meeting in the final. Both teams battled hard to get to the chipper and left teams battered on their way to the championship game. Tension ran high as Bombardiers and Fistfull of Ballers entered the main stage, and both teams left everything they had on the court. Bombadiers jumped out to an early lead, but Fistfull did not back down and made a move at the end but they could not dodge enough throws, nor could they dodge time which was working against them. Both teams had the look of a Champ when they entered the game, but it was the Bombadiers who would not be denied making more catches and amazing dodges to win the great honors of Dodge-ball Champ! Both I know both teams will tell their children and grandchildren of this day they met, and what it felt like to be in such a great match! Great job to both teams!
This weeks player of the week goes to Ben Poort and his great play ALL night. Ben didn't just play well in one game for the night and made that one winning catch, he dominated in all his games making a huge impact all night, and was a big reason his team won the champ shirts. He was throwing hard, which many people can do, but he was doing it with accuracy and rapid fire catching teams off-guard and winning games with some help from his team mates. Great job Ben!
This weeks player of the week goes to Brian Yarno for his multiple catches. They were not just coming every once and awhile, they were in bunches coming back to back. Brian knocked out opponent after opponent with solid catching abilities and help his team get a victory!
In the Bombardiers match against Multiple Scorgasms Ben did the unthinkable. He recorded all 6 outs in a game. He gave new meaning to winning a game single handed. Great game Ben.
