The player of the week honors are going to Javier Perozo of Wasted Potential. With this being his last game before moving Javier wanted to put together a great game so he could retire from kickball forever. He came out of the gates strong with multiple catches on defense and then added to his day with three doubles and scored two runs to solidify his career in kickball forever. I don't know if San Francisco has a kickball league, but if they do Javier might just have enough itch to come out of retirement. You can't ask for much more in a farewell performance.
Vai Tata was the star of stars for Wasted Potential on Tuesday evening. She reached based and score 4 times in her teams convincing victory 19-1. Great job Vai!
The player of the week honors will go to Urvit Goel on Wasted Potential. Wasted Potential had a monster game and absolutely blew through their competition like it was nothing. Everything on that they were doing was working it looked like a well oiled machine. To contribute to that in a big way, Urvit kicked two homeruns driving in at least 5 RBI's and made plays early and often in the field. Urvit hopes to have this performance once playoffs roll around.
Wasted Potential had a dominanting performance this week. They were crushing the ball on the offensive side and only gave up one run in the field with a stout defensive performance. The person who had the best game on this team was Kris Graden. He had multiple catches in the field, but he absolutely killed it on the offensive side. Kris had a homerun which you would think would be his best kick, but that actually came with the kick he almost sent over the fence to center field. It took one hop on the hill and bounced over the fence counting as a double. This is why Kris has earned player of the week.
Amar came up big for Wasted Potential on Tuesday, delivering a big RBI base hit to put the game out of reach. After being sent away with a strikeout after 2 foul balls in his first at bat, Amar's followed his teammates wishes to "kick the ball fair." His 2 RBIs a big part of his teams 6-3 win.
