Summer Gentlemens Flag Football at Juanita HS Tuesdays

The Soldiers came to play today. The game started as you would expect. the first possessions were back and forth. The Soldiers scored quick and RiDONKulous Answered right back. The Soldiers then fought back to go up 12 to 6. RiDONK needed to answer. They drove down to the 3 yard line and tossed to the back of the end-zone. Both teams went up but a Soldier came down with it! The soldiers drove and scored and then....repeated!! Another INT on the goal-line and a drive to score gave them a comfortable lead at the half. But they were far from done. One more goal-line pic in RiDONKulous' first possession was the final nail in the coffin. Winslow's Soldiers prove once again that experience is key!! Great Season Soldiers!

Jacob Gonzales Just Gets it!!

Winslow came into this championship match up knowing that every possession would count. It started out as you would think, each team scoring! Both missed the extra point leaving the score tied. The Soldiers were driving down the field to go up when suddenly they were faced with a 4th and long. This is when stars like Jacob step up. Jacob snagged the ball, not only for the 1st but for the touchdown. Two more times in the game Jacob came to play with 4th down touchdowns. Without those fast hands in the pouring rain this would have been a much different game. Great job Jacob!!!

Dan Bower

Winslow's Soldiers

JJ SWAT! Dan was an amazing pass rusher all game long, keeping pressure on quarterbacks and disrupting rhythm. But the best play of the night was when Dan seemed to leap twice his height into the air and knock down a pass a the line of scrimmage, which he then secured and returned for a touchdown. Excellent play. Don't forget his two offensive touchdowns as well. Congratulations on the win and way to play!
