Notes

First Place

Greenlake League #1 - Sunday [SUM 04]

Hoos on First couldn't get on first frequently enough to take this one home. My Salsa proved to be the Cinderella story, going from regular season cellar dwellar to playoff heroes.

Sunday, August 8

POTW: Laura Miller

My Salsa

Laura had a few great hits and played a mean catcher. Her great game calling is what helped her pitcher win the game. When the team captain was asked what else she did to contribute to the win he replied with "She helped distracted the male batters at the plate." Due to he contributions to the win she is our player of the week.

Sunday, August 1

POTW: Ryan, kelly

My Salsa

It wasn't his offense that helped his team win but his defense that did it. If it wasn't for his great arm strength he would not be playing next week. It was the great throws from the outfield that prevented runners from scoring and advancing into scoring position. This is why Kelly Ryan is our player of the week. Congratulations!!!!

Sunday, July 18

POTW: Ronna Burger

My Salsa

In a hard-fought game with play-off implications, Ronna Burger led team My Salsa over The Rookies with a spicy performance. Not only was she 3 for 3 with 1 HR and 3 RBIs, she also led the team on a defensive hot streak, and that means it didn't lead to many runs. This in itself is an admirable feat for any player, but she did with her right index finger broken, giving the appearance of Babe Ruth style shot call. But she delivered with the go ahead run in the 1st inning, sealing the Salsa's victory and of course freshness. Great job Ronna remember, keep it hot, keep it fresh and keep pointing at the stars.

Sunday, June 6

POTW: Barris Santiful

My Salsa

BB took care of business by hitting for the cycle and leading his team to a 24-6 victory. The only question we have for BB is...a single? What happened did the sun get in your eyes?
