After losing to only the top two seeds in the regular season, Palmer stepped it up in the playoffs and avenged both defeats.
After losing to the Empty Pitchers mid-season, Palmer was determined not to let it happen again and won a tight game by the score of 8-6.
In the championship game, they went up against No Pants Party, a team that was on an 8 game winning streak all against top competition. Palmer established an early lead, coming out and putting up 3 runs in the 1st and added one more on in the second to jump out to a 4-0 lead.
No Pants Party came back big in the botttom of the 2nd as half of their line-up scored to take a 2 run lead at 6-4. Palmer made up for that 2 run deficit and more in the top of the 3rd, with a game high 8 run inning to pick up a lead that they wouldn't relinquish.
Their defense took over from there, holding No Pants Party to two one run innings and a 0 run inning which gave them a 21-13 victory and their second straight spring league championship.
Lindie brought out the big stick on Sunday, forcing the No Pants Party to set up on the fat field every time he came up to bat. His hitting was key to the 21 Palmer runs and the championship.
No stranger to Spring softball, Daniel Prieto knew what it would take to snag a win for his team on the first day. With rain from the last week soaking the fields and creating a bit of a marshland, Daniel made the most of it by having a blast playing in the muck rather than letting it deter him from his best game. A solid performance in the outfield backed by an equally strong performance at the plate (3-4) locked Daniel in for this week's POTW!
