Great overall performance by both teams in an evenly matched championship game. The score was 4 to 3 going into the 5th inning until Mike Gerig of Optimus PrimeCard busted out a three run homer to start a 8 run inning. The rest of the game the hits continued to flow for Optimus like beer on a sunny day. NADS did all they could to get some runs, but Optimus did a great job of distracting them while at bat w/their stunning wigs and sweet big round eye glasses. Great job to both teams!
It was a clear brisk night and Mike had his game face on. With a white wig and some designer glasses on, Mike pitched a great game. A woman put down a nice bunt between the 1st and 2nd base side. She had great speed but Mike picked it up and instead of beaming her, he threw it to the first basemen for a close out. Shortly after he came up to kick with 2 on and kicked a homerun down the right field sideline. Thanks for being a team player and sportsman.
This week's player of the week goes to Chanell Lewis of Optimus PrimeCard. Chanell is one heck of a K-BALLER! Her kicks were nothing short of amazing. Where she wanted the ball to go, they did. She had a sweet kick that the defense couldn't field, till she was safely and securely, on third base. She is definitely going places....as they say:) Great job, Chanell!
