Little Lebowski came out to the field with one mission; to defeat Lowered Expectations. They had suffered their only loss to Lowered Expectations earlier in the season and revenge was setting into place. In the semi-final game, Debbie Steele stunned the opposing team by making three great catches in the outfield which sent them into the Championship game. Lowered Expectations had just come off of a big defensive win to defeat Pelotas del Fuegos 4-1 and were ready for battle. It was a close game until the 3rd inning in which Little Lebowski's offense racked up 3 runs and gave themselves a decent cushion heading into the 7th inning. Lowered Expectations didn't give up so easily and scored 2 runs to make it 6-5 with 2 outs. With 2 runners on base, Little Lebowski needed a big play to end their rally. A short blooper kick near third base would have sent the tying run home, but Nathan Worthcutt made a diving/running catch to end it! Great game and congratulations to Little Lebowski for winning their first Championship!

This week the player of the game goes to two players; Eric Axelson and Ben Steele of Little Lebowski Urban Achievers. From the beginning, Eric dominated the field at pitcher and it continued inning after inning. He ended up pitching a shutout and playing great defense. Well done!
Ben Steele contributed to the win by his awesome kicking ability. His stats will knock your socks off; Grand Slam, 2-Run HR and 8 total RBI's. Great job!
