The Spcimen Collectors chose the best time to go on winning streak, in the playoffs. They had only won one game all year but the playoffs are a whole new season.
The Speciman Collectors came out strong from the start. They scored 2 runs in the 1st, 3 in the 2nd, and 1 in the 3rd. All the while holding We've Got the Runs! scoreless for 4 innings. It was 6-0 to start the 5th inning when Brad H stepped up and booted a grandslam making it 10-0. In the bottom of the 5th We've Got the Runs! finally got on the board with a homerun by Matt K. In the 6th We've Got the Runs! went on a run scoring 4 runs to pull it to 10-5, but it wasn't enough. The Specimen Collectors shut them out in the 7th the take the title 10-5. Great game.
This weeks player of the week had kickers baffled by her defensive skills. Tiara caught everything in her direction, sending kickers back to the dugout with their heads hanging. Tiara helped her team get a big win with her contributions on offense as well with her great bunts, and speed in the base paths. It was a great game, but Tiara and her squad came out on top with the WIN! Great game Tiara!
This weeks player of the week goes to Arne Johnsen and his above and beyond performance. Arne racked up out after out catching solid kicks to center field not allowing the big kickers to get on base. He covered tons of ground and never dropped a ball. Arne also had a stellar performance at the plate getting on base everytime and kept his team in the game. Late in the game Arne's hard play caught up to him and he had to hit the bench with a outraged hamstring. This helped the opponent getting the defensive star out of the game and on the bench. This weeks performance by Arne was the best, and he recieves this weeks honors as player of the week! Great game Arne!
