Going into the 6th, the score was 4 to 3. Maggy, the pitcher for Liverburst, was doing a great job at keeping Detox from getting too many bases. And so was Trevor for Detox. But in the bottom of the 6th, Oshin of Detox stepped up to the plate and knocked in 2 BIG TIME runs. This kick put Detox up by 3 and their defense in the 7th kept them there. MIDCORE kickball at its finest! Excellent work both teams!!
The Players of the week go to Detox's Trevor LaRowe and Kyle Stover. This pitcher and first base combo looked like professionals and have been doing this for a while. Bunts did not stand a chance against these guys with LaRowe chasing down the ball and using his cannon of an arm to get it to the Stover who snagged anything in his vicinity. Even when Stover had to do some fielding that took him away first base LaRowe covered the bag as a pitcher would do in the majors. GREAT WORK GUYS!!
