Fall Co-ed Kickball at Lower Woodlands Wednesdays

The Loft was pumped up ready to play after pulling off a stunning upset over the number 1 seed Moe Bar, not only beating them but handled them in pretty good fashion. Dream Team did the same with Cajones but had some time to calm before the Champiosnhip game started... The Loft showed why they belonged in the championship game jumping all over the Dream Team, going up 7-0 in the first inning thanks to timely kicking and a lot of errors for Dream Team.. I smelled another upset lurking.. There was one moment in the top of the first when The Loft had 2 runners on and the ball was kicked into the right field. The runner from second made it in with a bad throw at home, then the runner from 1st makes it home on another bad throw at home, with the ball flying everywhere Jake pulls off the homerun with 3 plays at the plate and all 3 were safe.. The Dream Team knowing there was still a lot of game still to be played chipped at the lead through out the whole game until the bottom of the 6th when the score was 7-6, The Loft... Dream Team came up to kick and rallied from from behond to score 5 runs and go up 11-7, with great kicking from Trevor and Anthony... Top of the 7th, The Loft answered back.. Refusing to go out with a fight, Camille, Marko, and Jake each get kicks and before you knew it, it was a tie ball game going into the bottom of the 7th inning.. With 2 outs and Stephanie standing at 2nd base, Antonie kicked a screamer between 3rd and Shortstop, Stephanie rounded 3rd and scored the game winning run.. It was an amazing game that I will never forget. Good job to both teams for playing hard and making it fun (sometimes)....

CLUTCH!!!!!!

Antonie, was quiet most of the night when everyone else seemed loud... Wether it was arguing calls, yelling at each other or just encouraging each other it was loud...Antonie just calmy waited, waited for his oppurtunity to let his actions to all the speaking.. He caught everything that was kicked his way in right center field and showed great sportsmanship... It was the bottom of the 7th, with 2 outs and a runner at 2nd base. (I mean this is what kids dream of when they are young, Underdog kickball and to be a hero), Antonie kicked a screamer between the 2nd and 3rd baseman thats all she wrote... Antonie might have been the quietest on the field through the whole game but was the loudest when it was all said and done... Great game Antonie....
