Aaron played a great game in a competitive playoff match up. He was used as a versatile defensive player, making several heads up plays, and was a powerful offensive player to go long with his defensive skills. He also showed great sportsmanship as the game became more tense in the later innings.
With the score tied and going to the bottom of the 6th, Pre-Existing Kickditions need a spark if they were going to take home the victory. April was exactly what they needed. After leading off with a single she found her way over to third base with 1 out. When the next kicker booted a pop up to the outfield, April tagged up and flew as fast as she could towards home. The outfielder made a valiant effort but no one was going to deny April of her run. Crossing the plate one step before the ball reached home, April put her team in the lead and brought home the victory. Great job!
Despite the loss, Billy earned Player of the Week with what was the play of the season so far. With a runner on third and only 1 out, the kicker lofted a deep fly ball. After making the routine catch, the runner decided to tag up and try to score. Billy was having none of it. From left center Billy fired an amazing throw to hit the runner a few steps away from home plate and end the inning. What a spectacular play, Billy!
Billy might take sayings too seriously. "Leave it all on the field". And Billy literally left some of himself on the field. He made a sliding catch that tore up his shin but the ball got caught. Billy made a bunch of catches in the outfield. He also did it at the plate. He was responsible for 3 of his teams runs scoring 2 himself and knocking in a RBI. Great job "G".
