LB Tomczak
LB Tomczak
Rikickulus
This weeks player of the week goes to LB for her greatness at whatever position she played. LB was the defensive stud on her squad racking up most of the outs her defense recorded. She played and all*star firstbase, then made some outs at relief pitcher, then caught some balls in the outfield, it did not matter where she was, she was making outs. LB helped her team start the season with a win, and set the bar on how defense should be played. Great game LB!

Jeff "Larry Bird" Wilson
Jeff "Larry Bird" Wilson
PN on the Mound
The most important position on the field is the pitcher. And Jeff aka Bird proved that by pitching a shutout game. His defense helped him out a little bit but for the most part it was all Bird. It got several kickers to strike out. He also helped his own cause with 3 RBIs. Great pitching Bird!

Billy "Gangster" Sangster

Billy might take sayings too seriously. "Leave it all on the field". And Billy literally left some of himself on the field. He made a sliding catch that tore up his shin but the ball got caught. Billy made a bunch of catches in the outfield. He also did it at the plate. He was responsible for 3 of his teams runs scoring 2 himself and knocking in a RBI. Great job "G".

Stephen Minarsch
Stephen Minarsch
Kickin' it Old School
Stephen was unsure if he could play in the game due to an injured ankle, but ultimately decided to gut it out. His team was sure glad he did. Stephen was a not only a perfect 4-4 at the plate with 3 runs batted in, he also brought some superb defense behind the dish. Way to show them how its done, Stephen!

Gary Parrish
Gary Parrish
Rikickulus
Gary Parrish did not play in the first game, so he felt he had to make up for it. Gary was contributing the whole game with some great defense and superb kicking. However, Gary's moment to shine came in the seventh inning when his team was trying to break the tie in a hotly contested battle with Kickin' It Old School. After jumping out to an early lead Rikickulus saw there lead diminsh in the seventh inning as their opponents tied the game. Luckily for Rikickulus they still had the bottom of the seventh to win and even luckier they had Gary Parrish coming to plate to drive in the winning run. Gary keep up the clutch kicking performances.

Never Giving Up!
This weeks honors go to the squad of PN onn the Mound for their solid defense and not giving up in a tight game. With the final score ending 8 to 8 defense was the story of the game. In the bottom of the 7th PN was did everything thing they could to manufacture runs and scooted one run accross the plate to tie the nights most exciting game. Both teams played outstanding but the honors go to Gina for being the tieing run and the rest of her squad! Great game!

Despite the loss, Billy earned Player of the Week with what was the play of the season so far. With a runner on third and only 1 out, the kicker lofted a deep fly ball. After making the routine catch, the runner decided to tag up and try to score. Billy was having none of it. From left center Billy fired an amazing throw to hit the runner a few steps away from home plate and end the inning. What a spectacular play, Billy!

Kate Harrington
Kate Harrington
Toot It and Boot It
Kathryn Harrington played like an android constructed for kickball domination in her game on Monday. On defense she dominated at second base, inhaling anything that came within her reach. On offense she played with absolute efficiency, and finished with an on-base percentage that was off the charts. Overall it was a performance of superhuman, or perhaps robotic, quality.

PN on the Mound
Samantha Lee was a fearsome presence on the mound Wednesday night. The entire middle of the field became a house of horrors for the opposition as Samantha back peddled, sprinted, and displayed supernatural instincts, while scooping up every bunt and kick that came her way. Her dominant defense set the tone, and resulted in a win for her team.

Briana Wentworth
Briana Wentworth
Fell Swoop's Honey Badgers
Not every day do you see a single player pull off a Triple Play, but somehow Brianna Wentworth was able to do it for the Fell Swoop's Honey Badges on Monday night. After catching pop up to second (1 Out) she quickly tagged the bag to get the runner who had just stepped off of it (2 Outs). Then she had the awareness to peg the runner coming towards her from first who hadn't tagged up either (3 Outs). All in a days work for Miss Wentworth. Conrats you're our player of the week!

April Bloomfield
April Bloomfield
Pre-Existing Kickditions
With the score tied and going to the bottom of the 6th, Pre-Existing Kickditions need a spark if they were going to take home the victory. April was exactly what they needed. After leading off with a single she found her way over to third base with 1 out. When the next kicker booted a pop up to the outfield, April tagged up and flew as fast as she could towards home. The outfielder made a valiant effort but no one was going to deny April of her run. Crossing the plate one step before the ball reached home, April put her team in the lead and brought home the victory. Great job!

Patricia McNiff
Kickin' it Old School
After leading her team through a first round win with her excellent consistency for getting on base, she also came up big with a very nice defensive play. Playing first base, she caught a screaming line drive, and made it look easy! Good work, Trisha!

Aaron Satz
Aaron Satz

Aaron played a great game in a competitive playoff match up. He was used as a versatile defensive player, making several heads up plays, and was a powerful offensive player to go long with his defensive skills. He also showed great sportsmanship as the game became more tense in the later innings.

Toot It and Boot It
Until the seventh inning, Toot It and Boot It had a comfortable lead and looked like they'd walk away with the championship. During the top of the seventh, PN on the Mound began to make a come back. In a dramatic ending, and the opposing team only one run behind, Matt Reyes saw a runner come off base, and made the tag just in time to get the out to end the game. Congratulations, Matt!
