Notes

First Place

Spring Co-ed Softball at Greenlake Sundays

Coming in as a high seed isn't easy when attempting to make a run at the championships and that's the task that was at hand for Smoldering Remains on Sunday. Playing their first game at noon, Smoldering Remains would have to win three on the day to take home the title; and that's exactly what they did. Winning by scores of 10-6, 12-8 and finally 13-10 the Remains used some great defense with only nine players to give them the edge. This combined with some excellent left handed pitching and clutch two out hitting equaled success in the softcore division this past Sunday! Nice job Smoldering Remains!

Smoldering Remains

Team "D"!

Smoldering Remains were definitely Smoldering on defense in a terrific outing only allowing 1 run. In a tight game that ended 5 to 1, every defensive play mattered and Smoldering Remains left the field with no errors. That being mentioned their opponent also played outstanding defense and made the game riveting. Smoldering Remains defense was on the back of Andy who pitched a gem as well as fielded a large portion of the hits made by the Sluggernauts. With all around great play by both teams, both should be honored with the excellent defense, but there was only one winner and they are this weeks Team of the Week. Great job to both team, and great win Smoldering Remains.
