On Sunday against the Crows, Thad was in rare form. His work in left center field was ridiculous running down long shot after long shot and helping hold the Crows to 4 runs. He also batted 4 for 4 with monster shots all over the field. He also drove in 4 runs. Great game Thad!!
Early on after going out in front 6-1 through three and a half innings, it looked like PB Army was going to have their way with Barking Geckos. But when the bats came alive for BG, they really caught fire. After a 10 run fourth inning they never looked back. The man who was on fire all day was Kataro Ono. His glove in center field seemed like it had a vacuum in it every time a ball was hit anywhere near him. On offense it was more of the same consistency, as he went 5-5, leading the way to a 19-14 victory. Congrats to Kat and Barking Geckos!
At Northacres, the only thing hotter than the port-a-potty that somebody burned to the ground over the weekend was the bat of Robert "Big Timber" Mott of Barking Geckos! Trailing late in the game and down by 2 runs to Upper Deckers in the bottom of the final inning, the Barking Geckos managed some small-ball to load the bases as Big Timber stepped to the plate and you almost knew what was going to happen next. Robert "Big Timber" Mott busted out the lumber and absolutely crushed a no-doubt-about-it homerun out of the park for a walk-off Grand Slam!!! Congrats to Barking Geckos on their dramatic 9-7 victory and to Robert "Big Timber" Mott for coming up big when it counted and earning Player of the Week!
