With a defense dominated game tied after 7 innings, there was time for just one more inning. Pete stepped up to the plate as the 2nd batter in the inning and hit a 2 run home run to jump ahead. The Explosion's defense would take it from there shutting down the Geoducks for the win.
With his team up 1 run and the tying run on base, the batter hit a shallow fly ball to right center field that looked as if it would drop and tie the game. Jeremy was determined not to let that happen though. He ran as hard as he could towards the ball and made a sliding sno-cone catch to get the 3rd out and end the game.
