While the Ball Snatchers were not the number one seed heading into the playoffs, they played like they deserved it. In the Snatchers playoff run, no opponent got closer than 10 points. Matt Nelson led a balanced attack by spreading the ball around and keeping opposing defenses off balance. Each time the Ball Snatchers were tested on third or fourth down, Nelson found a receiver, whether it was Arash Ghberi, Lisa Thompson, or any of his other fine pass catchers. In a two-game sweep, on Championship Sunday, that offense racked up 99 points in an impressive effort. The Ball Snatchers are truly an offensive juggernaut and will continue to be a force to be reckoned with in the upcoming spring season.
Matt Nelson carried his team to victory on Sunday with some great quarterback play. Matt threw seven touchdowns in the championship game and kept a pesky XFL team at bay in a 57-40 win.
There are many ways to garner a Player of the Week award, but it is rare that someone does it the way Matt Nelson did in Week 3. Matt threw eight touchdown passes, and no that is not a misprint. It was a flawless performance by Nelson in the Ball Snatchers' 56-28 victory over Total Cluster. Honorable mention goes to Arash Ghaderi, who had four touchdown receptions.
