Mike, alias "Hoofers" faced great adversity including the presence of a "mischievous hobbit" hiding behind the pins on his lane during this week's competition. He maintained a positive attitude in spite of bowling 4 splits in 5 frames, which his teammates attest was due to the trickery of the "hobbit" holding the remaining pins up. He ended up with a 107 for the game but has learned how to overcome such obstacles as small, imaginary creatures.
