The stage was set:Bottom of the 7th inning, one out, runner in scoring position, and the Aroma Brewers just two outs from a Friday doubleheader sweep. The ball was hit, routinely, to Moni who was patroling left center field. The runner on second, an above average athlete and with good speed, decided to test Moni's arm at third base: Bad idea. Congrats to Moni Hashiguchi for earning Player of the Week by throwing out the tagging runner at third base to end the game!!! Well done!!!
The Brewers kept the game close all the way until the bottom of the 6th inning, when their offense came through with some clutch hits to go up by one run 7-6. It was then up to the defense to play tough and not give up any runs. Billy made the big play on the 2nd batter of the inning, by cleanly fielding a tough grounder and turning a quick double play.
