Player of the Week is awarded to Bree Trimble from the Yukon Bears! Bree put on a defensive clinic in left field in attempt to keep Rounding Third at bay. Hustling hard in left, Bree had to slide under both to make great Ichiro-like catches!!! Great job Bree!!!
Player of the Week is awarded to Laura del Valle for not only her superb pitching performance in a dominating win for the Yukon Bears, but also for her cunning creativity at the plate with her attempted bunt. As we all know, bunts are not allowed in slow pitch softball, but Ms. del Valle's sincere attempt brought at good humor smile (or laugh) to everybody at Lower Woodland. This game was well played by both sides as we saw flashes of defensive highlights with a diving catch from James Groom, as well as displays of offensive power from Mike Wear's two triples and Jordan Munroe's HR, two triples, and a double. Congrats to Laura del Valle and the Yukon Bears for a game well played!!!!
