History

The greatest of the Kickball teams and the most powerful kicks in all of Middle-Earth, Pitch Please was created by the Dark Lord Josh in the fires of Orodruin (Mount Rainier) during the Second Age. Pitch Please's intent was to concentrate and enlarge theirown power, and in time gain overlordship of all of Middle-Earth. Josh also wanted control over the other 19 Kickball teams of Power, which had been made by Celebrimbor and his people with Tom's assistance.

To do this, he concentrated within the One a great part of his own fëa ("soul" or "spirit") by cutting through his hand that was holding kitten tears, and letting his evil bind with the liquid. In a sense, Pitch Please became an extension of Josh himself, and his power became bound to it.

It was also known as the Ruling Kickball Team, the Master Team, the Doom of Underdog, the One Team, the Team of Power, and Seattle's Bane.

Fall Co-ed Kickball at Lower Woodlands Thursdays

Entering the playoffs, Pitch Please! was looking to continue their strong run and finish off the season undefeated and with another Underdog Kickball championship.

The first two rounds were no cake walk for the veteran squad. After squeaking out an 8-7 first round win and an 8-3 semifinal victory, Pitch Please was poised to add another championship to their trophy case.

In the first few innings, Uncle Jesse and the Kickers managed to keep the title game close. Then the offense erupted. Led by a grand slam by Conner Rock, Pitch Please took control of the game to run away with a double-digit victory! An exceptional 9-0 record and another championship, an impressive season for Pitch, Please!

Taylor Argens

A Sublime Double-Play

This last Thursday, needing two outs in the bottom of the seventh to seal his team the win, Taylor answered the call of the clutch defender. On a routine ground ball to second, Taylor displayed tremendous situational awareness, applying a tag to an advancing runner and firing the same ball to first base for a force-out. For taking the game into his own hands and performing, Taylor is our player of the week.
